How to play Caribbean Poker?
|
|
|
|
The Caribbean poker is a casino game based on five-card poker. All players play against the dealer and not against one another. The objective of Caribbean Poker is to beat the dealer's hand by producing a better hand
You begin the game by placing an 'Ante' bet and receive your five-card hand, face up. The dealer also receives a five-card hand, but with only one of the dealer's cards is face up. The other four will appear face down. The player must decide, by looking at his own hand and compare it with the dealer's single face-up card. He has to rely on his skill and strategy and decide whether he has a better hand than the dealer's.
If the player feels confident that he has a better hand than the dealer, then he can bet on his hand by clicking the 'Challenge' button. This wills automatically double your Ante bet. When the player has chosen to challenge the dealer, the dealer's remaining four cards will be turned face up. Now its time to see who has a upper hand and compare the results!
You can also make an additional bet: the "call" bet or surrender. If you surrender you lose the hand and your ante. If you make the "call" bet, then the dealer turns over their cards. The dealer must "qualify" by holding at least an Ace-King or better. If the dealer does not qualify, you win the ante but your "call" bet is simply returned, no matter what the cards show.
Betting
There are two betting rounds in a hand of Caribbean Poker. The first is your ante. The second comes when the dealer turns one of their cards face up. If you like what you see and think you're still in the running, you can place a "call" bet -- which is fixed at twice whatever you anted -- and play on. If you don't "call" you surrender and forfeit your ante.
Payoff
Payoff in Caribbean Poker is very simple. If you place a "call" bet and the dealer fails to qualify, you win even money on your ante and the "call" bet is simply returned.

Caribbean Poker rules are quite simple and easy. Although the game is played against the house, each player may look at their cards, but they may not discuss what they are holding with any of the other players at the table.
Once all the players have made their decisions, the dealer will reveal his cards. The dealer can only play with an Ace/King or higher. In order to qualify for the challenge, the dealer's hand MUST contain an ace and a king.If he has at least and Ace/King, he will compare his cards to the cards of the players, and the best hand wins. If the dealer does not have an Ace-King or better, then the player's bet will be returned, plus an amount equal to the ante.
If he does have Ace-King or better, but a player's hand wins, then that player will get even money on their ante, plus fixed odds on their call bet, with the odds ranging from evens for a pair or high card, to 100-1 for a royal flush
Different combinations in the player's hands produce different payoffs. The most common payouts are listed below
a) evens for a pair or high card
b) 2-1 for Two Pair
c) 3-1 for Three of a Kind
d) 4-1 for a Straight
e) 5-1 for a Flush
f) 7-1 for a Full House
g) 20-1 for a Four of a Kind
h) 50-1 for a Straight Flush
i) 100-1 for a Royal Flush
Under normal circumstances, the house has a better than 5% edge against your ante. For the progressive bet you will win the jackpot with a royal flush and 10% of the jackpot with a straight flush. But the payouts on this bet differ from casino to casino.

Caribbean Poker is a game where you can beat the casino in the long run. Although the house edge is approximately 5%, but lady luck decides the winners on any given day. The game has the potential to be both cruel and kind
The player can keep bluffing but will lose three times his ante for every time he does this. Some of the guidelines which the player can follow are:
a) To raise with a pair or higher
b) Always fold with less than A-K high
c) Try to bet on the progressive jackpot if the jackpot is very high.
It is important to recognize the marginal plays where odds are actually in your favor. Most players are uncomfortable playing low pairs such as twos, threes and fours and are even less likely still to play AK because they often seem to lose.
This is in fact a true statement - you will lose more often with these hands than with others but many people fail to realize is that folding is also a player loss The decision as to whether to play the Progressive Jackpot for $1 a hand should be made based on the value of the progressive.
Caribbean Poker is a fun casino game that you should play for the entertainment and the excitement. But one should not expect to win a lot of money in the long run

|
Caribbean Poker is a game which is very popular among casino players. One has to rely on the combination of his luck, skill and strategy to emerge a winner. The game normally comes with a jackpot which can be very rewarding if it goes off.
As there is no deception or bluffing, most poker players do not consider it to be a form of poker. The payouts and limits vary from casino to casino. However, many gamblers prefer standard poker over Caribbean Poker for two main reasons. They feel that by bluffing and other forms of deception, they have more control over the game and often able to win more.
Nevertheless, Caribbean Poker is a fun and interesting game. Players keep coming back asking for more fun and entertainment!
